ACTIVITIES
SLOKA CLASSES
Sloka classes are conducted for children of ages 4 to 16. The classes are conducted during weekdays at Ambattur and on weekends at Perambur. The course is devided in to 4 parts as follows:
Level 1 - Basic Slokas
Level 2 - Pancharathnams and Ashtakams
Level 3 - Sahastranamams and other slokas
Level 4 - Sookthams and other veda parayanams
we are taking classes for ladies also like narayaneeyam,sahasranamam
At completion of each level the children will get certificates.
SUMMER CAMPS
Summer Camps are conducted every year in the months of April and May. A special syllabus is planned for the course. Duration of the camp will be 10 days continuously. Competitions like colouring, story telling, singing will be organised duting thecamp. At the end of the camp a function will be organised in an important temple and children will recite the sloka's they learnt during the camp. They will get certificates and medals at the end of the camp.
PROGRAMMES
On important occassions and festivals throughout the year sloka recitation and singing programmes will be organised in important temples relevent to the occassion. All children will be given opportunities to present whatever they know or learnt. Harikatha's will also be a part of the programmes.
TEMPLE VISITS
Yearly twice trips will be organised for children. The children will participate along with their parents. We will be taking them to various temples of importance. The children will get first hand information about the temples, heritage, tradition and culture. They will also chant slokas on the main daity of the temple.
COMPETITIONS
Yearly once the trust organises variety of competitions for children including sloka recitation, drawing and colouring, Bhagavat Gita, Bhajans, Vocal etc. We encourage all children through their schools or individually to participate in these competitions. Each and every participant will get a participation medal and certificate. The felicitation ceremony will be organised in a grand manner and eminent personalities will grace the occassion and give the prizes to the winners.
